StageKids is run by Selah Theatre Company and designed to give young people the opportunity to explore basic theatre and movement. Students have the opportunity to train and perform together in an affirming environment of the performing arts.
StageKids is open to young people from 7 years to 18 years of age.
Monkey Music is a highly successful & innovative pre-school music group for children aged 3 months – 4 years at Sterts Theatre. Monkey music was founded in 1992 and nurtures a child’s natural love of music so that it will last a lifetime. Based on an exciting and progressive curriculum, Monkey Music provides weekly music classes that are entertaining and educational, and is imaginatively taught by specialist teachers who gently encourage social and musical skills within a fun, stimulating and friendly environment.
Classes are small and tailor-made, and the teachers make full use of the lively 30 minute classes to captivate the children using a winning combination of catchy music, percussion instruments, visual props and boundless energy, with lots of opportunities for the children to experiment with the instruments and make music of their own. Over 300 traditional and original songs, musical games and exciting movement ideas are used throughout the curriculum, with the children grouped in small classes according to their age.
Today, thousands of children enjoy Monkey Music classes at more than 200 locations all over the country, with classes in new areas opening up all the time. “I am delighted to be able to bring Monkey Music to Sterts Theatre and enjoy sharing the magic and joy of Monkey Music”, said Tania Jeffery, who runs Monkey Music in this area. “It’s fun, formative and a great way of making friends!”

Sterts Singers meet weekly to enjoy singing a diverse range of music under the direction of MD Jane Warwick. The music ranges from show songs to pop classics...John Denver to John Rutter. We also prepare for public concerts both at Sterts and other venues around the region. Interested in joining? No experience necessary, just plenty of enthusiasm.
