STERTS Summer Season 2018

Directed by Joseph S Carter. 
Joseph trained at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and for the last 8 years has performed in various countries as an Actor and Entertainer. During his career Joseph has worked as an Actor/Director for companies including BBC Radio, The London Dungeon, Sandstorm Films and is even a Professional Pantomime Dame. As well as working regularly in England and Sweden as a Puppeteer and Singer.

He has just returned back to the UK after 10 months performing with Universal Studios in Japan at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Joseph is extremely excited about the next big project as Director for the incredible musical "Little Shop of Horrors" and creating something truly unmissable at the Theatre on the Moor this Summer. Just DON'T FEED THE PLANTS!!

Musical Director Josh Clarke.
Josh has been Musical Director of Exeter University Gilbert and Sullivan, Footlights, and Shotgun Theatre Companies, as well as being MD for the Richard Dale Theatre School. At the Northcott Theatre he has musically directed Copacabana, The Pirates of Penzance and HMS Pinafore. Productions at other venues include Little Women: A New Musical, The Sorcerer, The Yeomen of the Guard (in concert) and the one that began it all, Little Shop of Horrors! For Sterts, Josh has been a musician and conductor and, as a keen performer, he has acted in a number of Sterts musicals and plays. 

The team at Sterts is delighted that Josh has accepted his first Musical Director role for Little Shop of Horrors and welcome him aboard for the 2018 Season.

Audition Workshop - Thursday 18th of January 7pm - 9pm STERTS STUDIO

This will be an informal workshop for those interested in auditioning or finding out more about the production. You will meet the Director and Musical Director and hear about the story and vision behind the show as well as have a chance to work on the script and songs for the Audition itself. Please be aware that participation in the workshop is optional and will not have any influence over choices made at the formal audition held on the 28th of January. (Please be aware the cast we require is 16 years and over only)

Rehearsals: Sundays 4-9 and Thursdays 7-10

Auditions - Sunday 28th of January 1pm - 9pm 


Note from the Director - Please be aware the age and singing requirements are more guidelines than rules. So please feel free to audition for these roles even if you are unsure of your suitability, you could be just the person we need. We welcome confident Actors who maybe are not confident Singers and confident Singers who maybe are not confident Actors...or people who just want to be involved in a great community theatre production. Whatever shape, gender, ethnicity you are as long as you are over 16 we want to meet you!!
